Wedding Mark and Lindsay Mark and Lindsay traveled all the way from Ireland to celebrate their wedding in the Eternal City. In preparation for this perfect day, the two came to Rome a couple of times to view various locations. Mark and Lindsay found an absolutely stunning 5 star luxury hotel located in Piazza della Repubblica, with a terrace that overlooked the city…it was a venue fit for a fairytale! The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful Church full of murals and ornate architecture. Outside was a nice courtyard in a central Rome pedestrian square. The priest marrying the couple was funny, which made the day even more enjoyable! Mark and Lindsay spent a lot of time making their Mass booklets and hand picking the readings, giving the ceremony a personal touch! The church music consisted of a string duo and soprano, who sung a moving rendition of Ave Maria. The bridal party was quite lovely–the three bridesmaids wore aqua blue
Wedding Louise and Grant Louise and Grant traveled from Scotland to celebrate a memorable wedding at the beautiful Tivoli’s town hall, just outside of Rome. It was a wonderful location to tie the knot, and her parents were there to share in the ceremony! Louise wore an exquisite white lace dress, which was complimented nicely by her elegant hair up do and red lips! Grant looked great in his traditional kilt, belt, and sporran, which was quite the hit among the local Italians in Tivoli! His father was in the Scottish attire as well! Grant’s boutonniere matched Louise’s gorgeous bouquet of red roses…a great accent for the lovely bride! After the civil wedding ceremony at the Tivoli’s town hall, a photo shoot of the couple photos took place at the scenic Villa d’Este. You could feel the love in the air as shots were taken of the couple on the balcony overlooking the beautiful town
Wedding Nadin and Dmitry Nadin and Dmitry picked the perfect summer day for their wedding in Rome! The couple from Russian was joined by 30 of their closest family and friends to help celebrate their big day. The bride and groom chose a gorgeous five star hotel in Rome with a scenic terraced garden as the venue for the ceremony. Guests enjoyed the sunny summer day outdoors as the couple exchanged vows. The officiant was excellent and the melodies of a violin gave a romantic feel to the ceremony. As for the decorations, Nadin and Dmitry stood under a beautiful flower arch full of roses and draped white canopy, which was quite fitting for the symbolic wedding taking place in the hotel’s garden. The bridesmaids’ hair was also adorned and with pretty garland, and her friends surprised her with a wonderful bouquet full of pink and white roses! The bridesmaids resembled a Botticelli painting as they were all quite beautiful with their garland made of
Wedding Meghan and Christopher Meghan and Christopher’s intimate wedding took place in the ancient Italian town, Tivoli, just a short 30-minute drive outside of Rome. The Canadian couple eloped to this picturesque destination to celebrate a civil ceremony in the beautiful town hall. Both Meghan and Christopher were nervous for the big day and each took a separate car from Rome to Tivoli. Meghan looked stunning in her white dress, her hair curled and adorned with a feathered hairpiece. Chris’s eyes smiled as he looked at her. You can only imagine how lovely and romantic it was for the couple to exchange their own vows as violin music floated in the air! After the ceremony, the newly weds spent some time in Villa d’Este in Tivoli. The scenic palace, gardens, and fountains were the ideal backdrop to their very first wedding photos. The couple radiated with happiness and love during the photo shoot, it was surely a day they will never forget!
Wedding Dara and Trisha Our Irish couple, celebrated their May wedding in the iconic city of Rome. Roughly 25 guests gathered in the historic 12th century basilica, which featured a beautiful staircase in front (a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos). Prior to going to the church, D. and T. rented a Limo and drove around Rome sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful city! The interior of the church was decorated with an abundance of beautifully detailed frescos and a wooden coffered ceiling. The interior columns were adorned with antique crystal chandeliers… very romantic! I really loved the dresses and bouquets they chose for their wedding. T.’s wedding gown was simply perfect! The lace detailing, rhinestone accented belt, and slim fit flattered her perfectly. Not to mention her delicate teardrop earrings…too pretty! Bridesmaids wore long, plum-colored dresses and they all carried lovely white rose bouquets. I also loved the backs of the bridesmaids’ dresses; lace fabric framed a cutout on their
Wedding Lisa and Mike After months of planning, Lisa and Mike finally traveled east from Canada to say their I-dos and to celebrate the wedding of their dreams in the beautiful city of Rome. Their early July wedding was nothing short of beautiful, filled with bold colors and an abundance of friends and family. The bride and groom chose to hold the ceremony, and other wedding festivities, at a classic, seventeenth century hotel that complimented their baroque-themed wedding beautifully. The hotel was filled with exposed brick and provided an unbelievable view of the city. All guests in attendance stayed at the hotel and got to enjoy the historic venue. The ceremony was held in a lovely outdoor garden of the hotel and guests anxiously awaited the arrival of the bride. Lisa wore a fitted, satin gown paired with delicate jewelry and carried a bouquet of blooming roses in hues of white and ivory. As Lisa’s mother and father escorted her to the altar,
Wedding Per and Britta Per and Britta’s outdoor Swedish wedding was filled with endless amounts of smiles and laughter. The weather was simply perfect for an outdoor ceremony and you could practically feel the love in the air as guests began to arrive. The ceremony took place at a Swedish church in the city. Britta, who wore a satin ivory-colored wedding gown, floated down the isle carrying a beautiful bouquet of lilac roses where she was greeted by Per and her father. One of my favorite aspects about this wedding was that Britta’s father did the ceremony and had the honor of watching his daughter become the wife to his now son-in-law. Following the ceremony, the couple went to a local restaurant for a rooftop dinner where they all shared drinks and memories and, most importantly, celebrated the couple’s new
Wedding Claire and Sean Claire and Sean met in 2010 in the first few days of an MBA program in France. It was during the official start of the program, in a workshop, that Sean and Clair met. I gathered that Sean was pretty much determined to pursue Claire but that Claire had quite a dislike when they first met…! Sean invited her to join a party and with a little persistence magic begun. Once the program was over Claire left to return to Hong Kong. Claire flew back to Paris at the end of 2011 to spend Christmas and New Year with Sean. After spending so much time together they thought they should give it a try to be together. Ever since they have been flying back and forth from Europe and Asia to see each other. It’s challenging to have a long distance relationship for two years. In the fall of 2013 they decided to get married. And the story continues…
Wedding Christine and Jonathon We were thrilled to receive Christine and Jonathon’s request. We really wanted to work with a public figure like Christine Avanti. Their impressive, “hands-on” backgrounds impelled Christine and Jonathon to contribute greatly to the planning. Lots of details needed to be arranged and finalized… 1,000+ emails for the wedding, our record!! Not just an ordinary wedding for Christine and Jonathon; instead a week-long affair: entertainment for 120+ guests, Rome tours, food tours, “meet and greet” and rehearsal dinner… The food tours were especially appealing: appetizers served at a typical Rome restaurant then main course at a different locale…and so on. A really original way to see Rome and to taste its unique, delicious delicacies! Let’s “Meet and Greet”, of course only at the most historic cafe’ in Rome in the posthumous company of great artists like Byron, Gogol, Keats who drank there. A lovely room was rented to welcome friends and family. A modern hotel with pool and garden served as
Wedding Jose and Tatiana It was certainly a pleasure arranging Jose and Tatiana’s wedding in Tivoli. Jose and Tatiana lodged at a lovely historic hotel in Tivoli. Following Tatiana’s hair and make-up session, off we went for a 3-minute walk through historic Tivoli to the town Hall where the wedding took place. The Officiant’s warm words and the sound of violin’s music created a romantically moving ceremony. Following the ceremony, we celebrated by tossing rice in the “piazza” adjacent to the town hall. Even the local children participated; what fun! The lovely town of Tivoli offers piazzas, narrow cobblestone streets, pedestrian areas; a cute town, with warm and hospitable inhabitants. So many people cheered the couple as they walked through the town center. There were families sitting in the piazzas while the children played football/soccer, just the way it always has been!!
