Wedding Gugu and Teboho It was a beautiful September morning in Rome to celebrate the union of two special people. All the way from their home South Africa, Gugu and Teboho asked us to plan their wedding day, and we could not have been more thrilled to do so. Their ceremony took place in the town hall in Tivoli. Photo session at Villa d’Este. The rolling green gardens and the fountains throughout it created such a romantic atmosphere for the wedding. This villa has fresco painted ceilings and a Renaissance architecture, and the photos of the newly weds were truly magical. A wonderful wedding video the couple arranged captured all of this. How great! Gugu looked stunning in her gown, with a lace v-neck line and a bow that tied in the back. Wedding Jennie and Joe Jennie and Joe were an absolute delight to help plan a wedding for! The couple from Liverpool loves Rome, and chose a wonderful and historic location for the ceremony a church that was built in the 10th century, located right next to the Roman Forum. Its interior is decorated with beautiful marble and mosaics, and the altar where the two exchanged vows was adorned with white roses…it was quite beautiful! A cello played during this lovely intimate ceremony. What made this wedding so special was how unique and personalized it was. Jennie had an origami bouquet made with maps of Rome and the couple’s theme color was purple. Her bridesmaid wore a purple dress, and Joe had purple tie and flowers on his suit as well! The fun part was the penguins! The couple absolutely loves them, so much so that Joe proposed to Jennie at the zoo in Liverpool in front of the penguins! They are known to
Wedding Mike and Laura Our fun and adventurous couple from America, Mike and Laura, spent their special day in Rome! The couple eloped from the US to have an intimate and symbolic wedding.The two tied the knot on a roof top terrace overlooking none other but the Roman Forum! A violinist played romantic melodies throughout the ceremony, and the couple enjoyed the breathtaking views. What a perfect location to celebrate one of the most special moments of their lives! Laura looked exquisite in her lace wedding dress, and one can tell just how happy and in love they are by their radiant smiles and the look in their eyes. Mike and Laura had an absolutely beautiful day for the ceremony, and afterwords spent times visiting sites exploring the city. Wonderful pictures of the couple were captured at the gorgeous Villa Borghese, on top of the Spanish Steps, and in front of the Colosseum…who could ask for better wedding photos!
Wedding Jeannie and Gordon Another wonderful wedding is celebrated in Rome with our Scottish couple, Jeannie and Gordon! The two chose Ariccia’s town hall as the venue for their civil ceremony. It was an intimate celebration, they were joined by Jeannie’s son and a couple of friends… which made it all the more romantic! The town hall really was a wonderful venue to tie the knot. Located just south of Rome, the town hall in Ariccia is the perfect location for a wedding. The interior of the hall is absolutely stunning—from the marble floors, to the detailed columns, to the scenic alfresco paintings on the walls. The combination of the sun shining through the large windows and the light blue walls with pictures of birds and flowers really made it feel as though they were outside! This Bernini, baroque palace truly was a magical spot!
Wedding Brandi and Wilson Our American couple, Brandi and Wilson, had such a wonderful wedding full of friends, family, and fun! 25 guests from Dallas traveled to the eternal city to take part in this momentous celebration. The couple chose a beautiful venue, Sala Rossa, to tie the knot! Brandi looked absolutely stunning in her white, silk dress, as she carried a bouquet of gorgeous white peonies… just as she had imagined! The couple’s son was the ring bearer and did a great job presenting the rings on a pillow, how special to have him apart of the ceremony! Melodies from the violinist floated in the air during the civil ceremony at Sala Rossa, which made it all the more romantic! The reception after the ceremony was perfect. From the beautiful long table with hand written place cards, to the pretty flowers, every detail was accounted for. Not to mention the view of Rome at sunset from the restaurant’s rooftop—what a magical evening!
Wedding Alison and Dominic Rome was a particularly special wedding destination for our British couple, Alison and Dominic! Alison, originally from South Africa, moved to the UK at the age of 14. Life eventually led her to study Broadcast Journalism in Leeds, where she met the love of her life, Dominic! The couple met in 2009 while they were both in University, and have been together ever since. They now reside in Leeds, where Dominic was born and raised. Back in 2010 Alison spent a week in Rome with her family and fell in love with the city, particularly Trastevere. Towards the end of her stay, her family came across Santa Maria Basilica, a beautiful Church in the heart of Trastevere, with a gorgeous interior and so much character and history. They went inside for a Sunday Mass, and ever since she wanted to get married in that very Church. When Dominic proposed to Alison on Christmas Eve, she immediately knew where
Wedding Veronika and Yann Another wonderful wedding in Rome! Over 20 guests from Slovakia, France, and Italy traveled to Rome to celebrate Veronika and Yann’s big day! The couple chose Sala Rossa as their romantic venue for their civil ceremony to tie to knot. Veronika looked absolutely stunning in her white lace dress, and her bouquet of pink and white peonies complimented it so well! Even her shoes were so pretty and perfect. Of course, Yann looked quite handsome as well! Happiness radiated from Veronika and Yann throughout the day. After the ceremony the couple exited the town hall and walked through a shower of rice…they couldn’t stop smiling! Wedding Gokce and Kerim What a start to 2015! Gokce and Kerim, a Turkish couple from Dubai, kicked off this year’s wedding season in Rome! Over 80 guests from all over the world traveled to this magical city to take part in the couple’s celebration of love. The only guest missing for the festivities was Gokce’s beloved dog! The couple visited Rome prior to the wedding to view venues, and despite the rainy weather during their trip, the two were still able to pick the perfect spot. Gokce and Kerim decided a historic palace that is nothing short of elegant and romantic! The décor inside the Palace included white drapery, lovely flowers, and crystal chandeliers, all of which made the entire scene quite picturesque. Mellifluous melodies coming from a cello floated in the air as the couple exchanged vows under an exquisite flower arch. Wedding Claire and Matt Claire and Matt, a couple from San Francisco, chose Rome as the location for their destination wedding in December. Although the planning was a bit last minute, the wedding was absolutely seamless and not to mention, beautiful! Lights lining the streets illuminated the skies of Rome during this festive Christmas season, which made a wonderful backdrop for photos! Claire and Matt selected a lovely historic palace right in the center of Rome by the Spanish Steps, as the venue for their intimate ceremony with family and friends. A Christmas tree adorned with lights welcomed the couple at the entrance to the Palazzo. It was very picturesque! The couple had a symbolic wedding, led by an officinal from California, who was a friend of the bride. Matt was very handsome and Claire’s bouquet of red roses
Wedding Nicole and Pietro Nicole and Pietro were an absolute delight to work with while planning this wedding! They are such a nice couple and made this day so much fun! Pietro, an Italian charmer and native of Rome, met the love of his life, Nicole, when he was in her home city of Boston! Pietro is super friendly can talk to anyone and Nicole is very sweet… a perfect duo! It was so special to be apart of this unforgettable wedding! Nicole and Pietro decided on a location in the Aventino area, which is one of the nicest in Rome! This historic area is a must-see, as it is quaint, elegant, and has absolutely beautiful orange gardens and views! The location for the ceremony was at a scenic, charming old church with a lovely Italian terraced garden. The church was adorned with pastel colors and a mosaic floor, which was just so pretty! Pietro looked very handsome and his mother and sister
