Nicole & Stacy's wedding in Rome!
There are few things more beautiful and moving in life than seeing a bride on her wedding day. With her hair and makeup done, wearing her dream dress and the expression of excitement on her face as she is marrying the one that she loves, you cannot help but be in awe at her joy and beauty. We were lucky enough to be a part of a wedding for not only one bride but TWO lovely brides as they celebrated the beginning of their life together! Double the dresses, bouquets, beauty, and above all, double the love. Nicole and Stacey, our young couple from New York, chose to share their special day with us and we are so happy that they did. It was a magical day.
Nicole and Stacey tied the knot in Trastevere, a historic part of Rome that is just outside the city center. With it’s cobblestone streets, artistic flare, and historical charm; it was the perfect location for the couple to say I Do. To go along with their “rustic-chic” wedding theme, Nicole and Stacey chose a restaurant in Trastevere to have both their symbolic ceremony and reception. It was wonderful that it all took place in one place. Before walking down the aisle, the brides chose to get ready alongside their bridesmaids in an exclusive designer’s hotel- so nice! There was so much laughter and love in the air leading up to the special moment. Each of their wedding gowns was different in it’s own way, yet both were simply stunning…just like the brides! Their dresses, along with their one rustic and one chic bouquet, went along wonderfully with the theme and let their personalities shine through. When it was finally time for the ceremony, there was not a dry eye in the house. Stacey and Nicole exchanged such genuine and moving vows during the symbolic ceremony, and it was clear how much love the couple shared. Family and friends shared in their joy when the ceremony was over. It was such a happy moment!
After the ceremony concluded, their photographers took some snapshots of the two around the city, And the photos they captured were absolutely breathtaking. Shots of Stacey and Nicole walking through the streets of Trastevere, moments the couple shared standing in front of historic buildings. Most of the pictures they took were edited to black and white, which added such a romantic and timeless touch to the memories they will surely cherish forever. When it was time for the reception, the couple headed back to join all of their guests at the same restaurant where the ceremony took place. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. And of course, there was plenty of dancing too. Guests and the couple were enjoying themselves very much. There were many small details in the décor and planning on the reception that showed just how much thought Nicole and Stacey put into their rustic chic Roman wedding. It was definitely clear to the guests, who walked away with wedding favors of bread and olive oil to remember this special wedding in Rome. Such a great touch! And to top it off, the couple rode away together in a Fiat 1100 in typical Italian fashion! There was no better send off to end a perfect day!
We were so delighted to work with Nicole and Stacey to help them plan their special day. They were so easy to work with and it was truly a pleasure to be a part of it all. Nicole and Stacey, we wish you nothing but a lifetime of laughter, love, and happiness. Congratulations to you both!
Pritika & Davide our couple from India and Rome!
It was our pleasure to host a lovely couple as they shared their special day with us during the month of February, a month that celebrated love and romance. Their wedding brought together a beautiful blend of cultures as the bride, Pritika, was from India, and David was born and raised Italian. The couple lives in Dubai and met while studying in England, which added 2 more cultures into the mix, which was so wonderful to witness. Pritika and David were a perfect match—you could tell by their smiles and the evident love between them that was shared throughout the entire day. The couple chose to celebrate their special day in Rome, which in our opinion could not have been a better choice!
The ceremony took place at San Giuseppe dei Falegnami, a gorgeous church located right next to the historic Roman Forums! Could the location get any more historic and beautiful than that?! Candles and yellow rose peddles lined the aisles and illuminated the church. The only thing brighter than the flower girls’ yellow dresses was Pritika’s smile. She wore gorgeous lace dress with an up-swept hairdo and sparkling hairpiece to complete her beautiful, bridal look. David was extremely eager to meet her as she came down the aisle, and the happiness beamed from both their faces throughout the ceremony and into the evening. After the ceremony guests lined the entrance of the church and showered the newlyweds with rose peddles- how fun! The couple drove from the ceremony to the reception in very classy Old Fiat 1100. Pritika and David’s skilled photographer captured some wonderful photos of them throughout the city as well. With breathtaking views and expounding joy from both of their faces, these photos will sure to be a very special keepsake for them to remember this day for many years to come.
The reception following was held at a Villa which has a stunning skyline view of the eternal city. Guests enjoyed a delicious dinner inside the venue, and there were plenty of drinks to go around. Everyone congregated on the balcony of the Villa as Pritika and Davide cut their wedding cake with the beautiful city in the background. The cake had yellow and white flowers embellished along the sides, so it fit very nicely with the theme of the wedding. Shortly after the cake, speeches, and first dances, the band picked up and everyone was on the dance floor! The music kept everything lively and fun, as the couple and their guests sang and danced to all different styles of music. It was very beautiful to see both families dancing to the Indian music they played as well. Guests even ducked under a limbo stick! It was an evening full of wonderful food, friends, family and most importantly, love. Family and friends were also given a small taste of Italy to take home with them- a small bottle of olive oil! It was the perfect touch Pritika and David added to give their guests such a unique and authentic reminder of their special day in Rome.
It was such a pleasure to be a part of this wonderful, couple’s day! Our hope is that Pritika and David share as much smiles, laughter and love together as they did on this day for many years to come!
Lorena & Michael our Scottish couple!
It was a beautiful October day in Rome to celebrate the union of two very wonderful people, Lorena and Michael! This lovely couple from Scotland chose to tie the knot in one of the most historic parts of Rome. From the kilts to the Coliseum, the “I-do’s” to the dance floor, it was surely a day Lorena and Michael will never forget!
Location is key when it comes planning a wedding, and Lorena and Michael did it just perfectly. The two chose an exquisite Church in the heart of Rome to exchange their nuptials. The venue for the ceremony was absolutely beautiful. The aisles were lined with bouquets of pink and white roses, and the flower girls were wearing baby blue dresses to complete the color scheme. In typical Scottish fashion, the groom wore a traditional kilt to greet his bride at the altar. It was a very nice touch to the ceremony to see the couple honoring their Scottish heritage. The bride Lorena wore a lace dress with a pretty floral accent piece in her hair. She looked like a dream as she walked down the aisle to meet Michael and make a promise of a lifetime. The ceremony itself was wonderful…the soprano, string duo, organ serenaded the walls of the Church. The music was a special extra touch to what was a very moving ceremony! The couple was beaming with love as they exchange nuptials in front of their friends and family. Following the ceremony, Lorena and Michael captured some gorgeous photos throughout the streets of Rome and in some of the most iconic places such as the Roman Forum. And before long, it was time to celebrate the occasion with their loved ones!
The reception to follow took place just steps away from the Church at a breath-taking Palace. This palace was the perfect venue to celebrate their new marriage. High ceilings with cascading drapes, ornate embellishments along the walls, grand mirrors and crystal chandeliers were just a few stunning decorations that the rooms in Palace held. Filled with history and romance, it seemed as though each room in the palace was more exquisite as the next. You could tell that Lorena, Michael, and all of their guests that came to celebrate were having a wonderful time. Lorena and Michael shared their first dance together as husband and wife, and it was very sweet to witness this moment. The main area of the reception took place in an elegant room with a white, cream, and gold color scheme that went perfectly with Lorena and Michael’s romantic theme. The food was excellent and the there were plenty of drinks to go around. And of course, there was no shortage of dancing among this wedding party! There was live music and a DJ that kept everyone dancing into the night. When the celebrations had finally some to an end, guests left with party favors of colored almond candies, also known as “Italian confetti” and sweet boxes accented with ribbon and a white rose. It was the perfect send-off for the guests and a wonderful keepsake for them to remember the love that Lorena and Michael shared on this day and for the rest of their lives.
Every detail that went into this wedding made it so special and memorable. We were honored to be a part of this beautiful day and we wish a lifetime of love and happiness to the newlyweds. Congratulations, Lorena and Michael!
An American, Irish and Italian wedding!
What do you get when you bring together American, Irish, and Italian cultures all into one place for a very special union? You get wedding of Anne-Marie and Alessandro, one of the most beautiful ceremonies it was our pleasure to be a part of. Anne-Marie and Alessandro, both doctors living in the United States, chose to say “I do” in the beautiful city of Rome. This lovely Irish and Italian couple knew Rome was the perfect place to make their lifetime commitment of love in front of all of their family and friends, who traveled across to country to celebrate this special pair. From the weather to the reception and everything in between, it was a day Anne-Marie and Alessandro are sure to never forget.
The gorgeous church where the couple chose to get married was located in the heart of Rome. The ornate décor inside the church created the perfect ambiance for this summer wedding. The lovely serenades of the string duo echoed in the walls to created the most romantic atmosphere as the bridal party, groomsmen, and finally the bride, walked down the aisle. Anne-Marie was simply breathtaking. She wore a trumpet-style dress with elegant floral detail, and a floral hairpiece in her swept-up hair that held her veil. Alessandro was all smiles as his beautiful bride-to-be walked down the aisle. It was such a wonderful and love-filled ceremony. Guests were very moved as they witnessed this couple exchange their vows, and it was evident how happy the pair was that this day had finally come. When Anne-Marie and Alessandro were pronounced man and wife, the congregation cheered. It was the start of their new life together, and also the start to the night of celebration that was to come!
The Church was conveniently located near some of Rome’s best spots for photos following. Their photographer captured amazing photos of Anne-Marie and Alessandro in various locations, evening capturing the two in front of the Roman Forum. Anne-Marie used a beautiful white lace umbrella in some of the photos as well, which was such a charming touch in the photographs. The pictures turned out wonderfully, and are sure to be a very special memory for the couple. And while they were taking photos around the city, guests made their way to the villa for the reception. The weather was spectacular for the outdoor cocktail hour that followed the ceremony. Everyone there enjoyed drinks and delicious appetizers as they congregated along the terrace at the villa. They were able to soak in spectacular views as a live violinist played and the summer sun sank lower in the sky…how marvelous! It could not have been a better day to enjoy views of the city and some great company leading up to the reception.
The theme for the wedding was flowery and romantic, so every detail at the reception perfectly matched that. There were pink, orange, and white flowers in bouquets scattered around the tables. Table numbers written in gold matched the gold accent plates at the tables as well. There was so much attention to detail that Anne-Marie had that even the colors of the cake matched the accents! The whole reception was laid out wonderfully. The dinner served was delicious, and of course, the drinks to follow at the open bar were great as well! After the couple’s first dance and the father-daughter dance, everyone was ready to dance! The DJ had everyone there up and on the dance floor almost the whole night. There was fun music and lots of dancing. The DJ even incorporated some Irish songs that guests danced too as well, which was a great touch to honor the culture of the bride and her family. Between the food, the dancing, the photo booth and the great company that came to celebrate this day, the reception was the perfect celebration for the young couples new life together. Their guests sent Alessandro and Anne-Marie off with bubbles and well wishes for a happy life filled with love. Surrounded they family and loved ones, it was the perfect ending to the perfect day.
It was an honor to be a part of Anne-Marie and Alessandro’s special day. They were such a delight to work with and we wish them the best in their new life together. Thank you for choosing Weddings in Rome. Congratulations, Anne-Marie and Alessandro!
Persian and Catholic Ceremony for our Canadian couple!
A beautiful blend of religion, culture and love, Mandana and Kevin’s wedding day was one the most unique wedding celebrations that was our pleasure to help plan. When Mandana and Kevin were engaged to be married, they knew Rome would be the wedding destination of their dreams. And on a beautiful Tuesday morning in May, friends and family gathered in the Santa Maria del Popolo to witness the marriage of this couple. Santa Maria del Popolo is a very exquisite church with beautiful Caravaggio paintings along the walls. These works of art and the simple décor of a few vases of white flowers around the kneeling bench made for a great atmosphere. It was so beautiful to see this Mandana and Kevin make a promise of a lifetime, especially in front of all our their guests that had come so far. Both Canadian natives themselves, Mandana and Kevin and most of their guests traveled all the way from Canada to celebrate together in Rome, which made it that much more special. The love between the two was palpable as they exchanged their vows. Mandana looked gorgeous in a strapless white satin dress with layers of tulle on the side, and her husband looked very handsome in his black tuxedo. They were such a beautiful and happy couple. The congregation cheered as Kevin and his stunning bride were officially pronounced as man and wife. It was such a wonderful celebratory moment for the couple at the beginning of their life together.
The ceremonial portion of Kevin and Mandana’s day did not end there. The love and magic of their day only continued as they held a second, symbolic Persian ceremony in a Villa’s gardens, one of Rome’s best wedding locations. The quiet gardens provide a beautiful and intimate space for a marriage ceremony with an absolutely breath-taking view of the city. And it was the most perfect for oasis for Mandana and Kevin’s traditional Persian ceremony. Honoring both their religion and cultural backgrounds, the symbolic Persian ceremony was a wonderful addition to the day. Green, white, and gold décor accented the beautiful space. There was an ensemble of Persian instruments, incense, flowers and fruit, cookies, and mirrors and candles all arranged in the gardens. In traditional Persian culture, the mirror symbolizes eternity, and the candlesticks in front symbolize brightness of the future and eternal passion. We were also told that the mirror and candlesticks would be displayed in Mandana and Kevin’s new home as a reminder of their wedding day and a keepsake for them to cherish their love for each other. How special! This second ceremony was truly so touching. It was so nice to see such an important part of this couple’s life kept sacred by making this a part of their wedding day.
With both the religious and symbolic ceremony completed, it was finally time to celebrate! Their reception followed immediately after their ceremony. Guests were able to soak in the city view during the cocktail hour before heading inside the venue. As they walked in, they were greeted with to an exquisite venue space. Going along with the color scheme, there were long imperial tables with green and white flowers and golden candles flickering in between each bouquet. The chairs were a beautiful gold color as well. All of this, along with the up lighting and drapes over the windows, created a very elegant and romantic atmosphere. The bride and groom had a small table to themselves. Mandana and Kevin shared their first dance has husband and wife, and throughout the reception, there were many cheers and toasting to honor the couple. You could see the happiness in their smiles each time they looked at each other. The dinner served was delicious, and the desserts to follow were even better. And of course, there were plenty of drinks to go around! The DJ turned up the music after dinner was finished, and guests were up on their feet dancing the rest of the night! It was so much fun and such an amazing way to end the day. From the meaningful and beautiful ceremonies to the fantastic reception, it was a day that Mandana and Kevin are sure not to forget.
It was such a pleasure to work with Mandana and Kevin. We thank them for sharing their religion and culture with us, and we were so glad to share in their celebration in the beautiful city of Rome. Congratulations to you, Mandana and Kevin, and best wishes to you both in your new life together!
Wedding at St. Peter's
Romance, beauty, and history all tied into one day…that only begins to describe Andrea and David’s fantastic wedding celebration in Rome. Andrea and David, a young couple from America, knew from the moment of their engagement that they wanted to get married in Rome. This lovely duo also knew that was no better place to exchange their nuptials than at the stunning and holy Saint Peter’s Basilica in Vatican City. It was a great choice for a venue, considering not much extra décor was needed! And getting married in one of the most historic and exquisite churches in the world is something that Andrea and David will never forget.
Despite the typical crowds visiting the Basilica that day, Andrea and David’s ceremony was extremely intimate. Dressed in a gorgeous white dress with lace sleeves and a sweeping veil, Andrea walked down the aisle to exchanges vows with the love of her life. The love between the two was palpable, and the couple’s closest friends and family were so excited witnesses to their beautiful lifelong promise. Andrea and David also had a stunning set of photographs taken in Vatican Square, in front of the Pantheon, and in Italian gardens following the ceremony. Their photographer did a wonderful job capturing the romance of the day.
The reception to follow also took place near one of Rome’s most historic sights, the Pantheon. It was rooftop venue overlooking the city, with a few tables scattered and a long table draped with a runner and vases of purple and ivory flowers placed along it from end to end. The venue was also perfect for the time of day. The sunset cast a golden-orange light on the party and guests were treated to a beautifully painted sky over the city as they ate. It was a gorgeous evening to celebrate the newlyweds. Andrea, David and their guests also enjoyed plenty of food and drinks throughout the evening. Guests also had “kissing bells” at their seats, which they could ring to summon the bride and groom to exchange a “wedded kiss”. It was such a unique and special addition that made their love even during the reception.
Overall, Andrea and David had an unforgettable wedding day. From exchanging their vows in the exquisite Saint Peter’s Basilica and celebrating on a rooftop overlooking the city of Rome, it was truly a wonderful day for two very wonderful people. Thank you for sharing your special day with us, Andrea and David! We wish you many years of happiness and love to come!
Jill and Luca's fun and elegant wedding in Rome!
September 13th was nothing short of a fairytale for Jill and Luca. Tucked away in the gorgeous gardens of on historic palace, this young American couple said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends while overlooking the beautiful city of Rome. Everything about their symbolic ceremony was exquisite- the serenades of the string ensemble, the grand arch of purple and white flowers, the scenic gardens and backdrop of the cityscape to complete the romantic atmosphere. But perhaps the only thing more beautiful than the venue was the bride herself. Jill, a young currently American living in Rome, walked down the isle in a stunning beaded white dress with a diamond drop necklace. She looked like a dream as she greeted by her husband-to-be, Luca, beneath an elegant floral arch. It was all so amazing that not even the rain from the storm that rolled in could dampen the beauty of the ceremony. The couple was beaming as they said exchanged their hand-written vows to one another, and even more so when they were pronounced husband and wife! With smiles and laughs and a lot of love, Jill and Luca walked back down the aisle, umbrella and all! Fortunately, the rain stopped in time for Jill and Luca to take amazing photographs throughout the city. Their photographer captured beautiful moments at some of the most iconic spots in Rome.
The reception contained a dinner buffet with a delicious spread of food, drinks, and, in typical Italian fashion, plenty of wine to go around! Jill and Luca shared an amazing first dance together as newlyweds. Their friends and loved ones gave great speeches and offered toasts to the couples new life together. And when it came time for the DJ, guests were up on their feet all night long, especially Jill! She owned the dance floor in her silver sparkling heels, still looking radiant a bride as ever. It was clear that everyone was having an amazing time celebrating with the new couple. As they left, guests departed with wedding favors that included personalized M&Ms with Jill and Luca’s pictures and initials on them. It was such a simple yet personal touch…just one of many evident throughout this wedding.
If Jill and Luca wished for an unforgettable wedding day as they tossed their coins into the Trevi Fountain together, then surely came true. From the ceremony to the wedding reception and everything in between, their day was absolutely beautiful. We wish this special couple nothing but love and happiness for many years to come. Thank you for sharing your day with us. Congratulations Jill and Luca!
Congratulations to our Colombian and Lebanese couple!
We had a wonderful time planning the wedding of our couple from Colombia and Lebanon! The two celebrated a civil ceremony in the very heart of Rome. The bride wore a lovely pink dress and beautiful heels embellished with gems. The groom looked handsome in his suit and pink bow tie to match the bride. They rode in a cute vintage Fiat 500, how fun!
The couple and over 20 guests enjoyed an elegant reception at an exclusive restaurant in Rome. It even had a view of Saint Peters Basilica! It couldn’t be more picturesque!
The table runner on the imperial table was absolutely stunning—it was made of red, pink and white roses—which matched the bride’s bouquet.
The reception was full of breathtaking views, delicious cake, and great company. Guests were given Limoncello favors in the shape of Italy, which will remind them of a beautiful wedding and weekend in Rome! Congratulations to the happy couple!
Elegant wedding for our British couple
It was absolute pleasure to work with our British couple on their dream wedding! From the beautiful ceremony itself to the lively and fun reception, it really was a perfect day. What made it even more special was the many friends and family of the couple who traveled from England and the United States to help celebrate!
The bride looked gorgeous in her white dress with lace at the top, and her three bridesmaids looked exquisite in their long, dark navy dresses. Her hair was styled into a beautiful upsweep, which was accented by small white roses. It looked stunning and even matched her bouquet! Her mother was there to help her get ready for the day. She was quite the beautiful bride!
The couple chose Santa Maria in Aracoeli, one of the most famous and beautiful churches in Rome, as the location for the ceremony. Lovely white flowers decorated the church, while the architectural details and ornate paintings in the church naturally decorated the remainder. A string quartet at the church filled the room with beautiful music during the ceremony. The church is located atop of Capitoline Hill, so afterward the couple took pictures overlooking the Forum, one of the most historic pieces of Rome!
The reception was held at a Villa, which is known for having one of the absolute best views in Rome! There were many thoughtful and cute details, including ribbons on the chairs, which were the same blush pink accent color they used for the menus too. White and pink roses filled the glass vase centerpieces. There were even fun sparklers and bubbles that many of the guests enjoyed!
Smiles and laughs filled with room during the reception. There was a piano, cello, percussion, and even a DJ with live sax and bongos for the after dinner dancing! The couple and guests alike had a fantastic time dancing and spending time in one of the most picture-perfect venues. The ceremonial bouquet toss took place outside near the balcony, where the skyline of Rome illuminated the night. It truly was breathtaking!
Sometimes pictures really are worth a thousand words. So many of the wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime memories were captured of our beautiful British couple, and we are so happy to have had the opportunity to help plan those special moments on their wedding day!
Wedding at a fairytale castle!
It was an absolute pleasure to help plan the wedding of our fun and beautiful couple, Carrie and Joe! The two currently reside in Ireland, which is Joe’s homeland, but will soon move to Carrie’s native country, Canada! 35 guests traveled from both Canada and Ireland to the Eternal City of Rome to help celebrate their special day!
The couple chose a gorgeous stone castle outside of Rome for their wedding ceremony. What is more magical than a wedding in a real castle!? It was so quaint and picturesque; it almost could have been in a fairytale! A spiral staircase led to the entrance- a wonderful photograph of Carrie was captured as she ascended the stairs in her white dress. So pretty! The castle was tucked into the hillside and had the most stunning views of the countryside. The ceremony itself took place in one of the most charming rooms in castle—it was covered in intricate and exquisite murals and paintings. It was a very touching and lovely wedding!
Carrie wore a beautiful lace dress with jeweled accents in the front, as well as an elegant veil. She carried a nice spring bouquet filled with while and pink flowers with green leaf accents. The couple was smiles galore throughout the day; you could tell how truly happy they were! Carrie and Joe took pictures in front of some of the most beautiful and historic spots in Rome, such as the Forum and a large marble column engraved “S.P.Q.R", as well as plenty of pictures in and around the castle!
After the ceremony, friends and family enjoyed an authentic Italian experience for the reception.
They continued the celebration at a typical restaurant in Rome in the beautiful neighborhood of Trastevere. They even had some typical Roman music too! It was such a wonderful day filled with great memories. Congratulations Carrie and Joe!
Tri and Rae from Indonesia with love!
Elegance and beauty—these two words are quite fitting to describe the marriage between our couple from Indonesia, Tri and Rae. From the church to the reception and everything in between, the entire wedding was just lovely. We are so happy to have helped plan such a special wedding for this wonderful couple!
Tri and Rae chose Santa Maria in Aracoeli, an absolutely gorgeous church in Rome, for the wedding ceremony. Large vases full of white roses and flowers lined the red-carpeted isle. It was a very meaningful and moving ceremony, and what made it even more special was all of the family and friends present to celebrate in this witness of love. A lovely soprano sung to the beautiful music selected for the service. It was very clear how truly in love they are! What could be better than one of the most historical, ornate, and beautiful churches in Rome to tie the knot!
Rae radiated beauty throughout the day. Her dress was so detailed and elegant—a beautiful beige color with lacing and white flower petals on top. It was almost as pretty as her contagious smile! She also wore a long, sheer, white veil, which was also complimented by her bouquet of white flowers. What a stunning bride! Tri looked very handsome in his suit as well! Such a great couple! After the ceremony the couple rode in a very elegant and sophisticated white car… very fitting for them!
The reception was held at an exclusive Villa, which is the place to go if you want the absolute best views in Rome! The dining room was filled with lovely details, such as cute place settings and centerpieces made of pink and white roses. Guests enjoyed delicious food, a lovely cake, and great company all night. There were so many memorable moments from the reception— toasts accompanied by smiles and laughter, Tri and Rae at the balcony together overlooking the Eternal City, and of course the live band – which made the reception so special.
We are so glad we could help plan this fairytale wedding for Tri and Rae! Congratulations as you start your lives together!
Duke and Mark what a fabulous wedding!
Duke and Mark, our delightful couple from Washington, D.C., had a fairy tale-like wedding in the eternal city. It was an absolute pleasure help plan each and every detail—from the beautiful vases and candles decorating the church, to the scenic photo shoots, to the place cards made of Ferrero Rocher chocolates at the reception —it really was a magical wedding!
Mark and Duke decided on the beautiful Santa Maria in Trastevere for the wedding ceremony. This is one of the oldest churches in Rome, and it is filled with exquisite mosaics and detailed architecture. The golden accents throughout the church illuminated the entire interior. One can only imagine how breathtaking it looked! The couple added personal touches with white flowers as well as candles in vases to line the isles. It was a very moving ceremony, and what made it even more special was that sixty guests made up of friends and families were able to attend this witness of love!
I met with Duke and Mark last spring to look at various venues, and they expressed that they wanted a castle in Rome…. Well, we found just the spot! The reception was held at lovely small castle just outside Rome that was fit for a couple as wonderful as Duke and Mark! It had a historic and romantic look from the outside, and radiated elegance and beauty within. The dining room was decorated charmingly with a winter feel—pine cones, gold and white tones, and candles. Guests danced to the music of the live band and shared in special moments such as the couple’s first dance and when they cut the cake!
Duke and Mark rented a fabulous historic villa to gather with friends and family for their pre-wedding activities. It was so nice that the families could all stay together for Christmas! The bridesmaids wore gorgeous gold dresses with purple shawls, and the groomsmen were dressed in matching suites and gold ties. Quite the handsome bunch!
After the wedding ceremony the bridal party took photos in the square in front of Santa Maria church as well as other scenic and historic locations in Rome. The photos of couple are too cute, and will be cherished forever! We are so honored to have helped plan such a special day. Congratulations Mark and Duke!
Elizabeth and Andrea our American and Italian couple!
It was an absolute pleasure to plan a perfect day for our beautiful couple, Elizabeth and Andrea. Not only is Rome a wonderful destination to visit, but for Andrea, traveling to Italy for this wedding meant coming back to his own Italian roots! The entire day was filled with laughter, smiles, and even tears of joy, as family and friends celebrated the couple’s new life together.
Elizabeth wore a beautiful white dress, ballerina-like flats, and gorgeous diamond earrings, which were highlighted by her upswept hair style. Her bridesmaids dressed elegantly in all black, and carried bouquets of pretty anemone flowers. It was quite a stunning bridal party! The groomsmen of course looked handsome as well in their suites and bow ties. When they were all finished getting ready, they walked to the church which was conveniently located right around the corner.
Elizabeth and Andrea chose the basilica of Santi Cosma e Damiano as the location for the ceremony. Situated partly in the Roman Forum, this church is the perfect combination of history and beauty. The entire church is adorned with detailed and colorful mosaics as well as fresco paintings. Above the altar is a stunning apse mosaic, which became the backdrop for the ceremony...one can imagine how breathtaking it all looked! It was a very touching ceremony, especially as the couple exchanged flower crowns. There was also a soprano and a violinist in the church which added to the loveliness of the wedding.
After the ceremony there was a photo shoot inside the Roman Forums with groomsmen and bridesmaids, pictures that will last a lifetime! Afterwards, guests enjoyed jazz, good food, and even greater company at the reception. Red rose centerpieces accented the tables that guests gathered around. There were many touching moments—such as the couple’s first dance and the tradition of cutting the cake. It was truly a night to remember. Cheers to a future of happiness and love, Elizabeth and Andrea!
Sara and Jonaz, our couple from Sweden, tied knot just a stone’s throw away from the River Tiber!
Sara and Jonaz, our couple from Sweden, tied knot here in Rome at an historic Hotel located just a stone’s throw away from the River Tiber, this was an ideal location for breathtaking views as well as beautiful photos during the wedding. The couple celebrated the ceremony on the hotel’s outdoor terrace, overlooking the city. Sara and Jonaz exchanged vows under an arch filled with pink, white, and blue roses, which complemented Sara’s pink dress so stunningly. It was wonderful to have Sara’s best friend sing at the ceremony, which moved family and friends to tears of happiness and joy. It truly was a witness of love!
After the ceremony the fun ensued! We had great time creatively making the “007” James Bond themed table plan, or shall we say, “Mission Briefing,” as well as crafting the place settings. The couple loved it! The food at the reception was nothing short of excellent, and guests danced the night away after dinner.
The wedding photo shoot captured intimate and romantic photos between the couple in scenic locations around Rome, including the "Fontanone". They also shared a precious moment at the Gianicolo with their daughters, what a picturesque view! Sara looked absolutely radiant and you could see the happiness and love in Jonaz’s eyes. These photos and memories will be cherished forever. Congratulations, Sara and Jonaz!
South African love!
It was a beautiful September morning in Rome to celebrate the union of two special people. All the way from their home South Africa, Gugu and Teboho asked us to plan their wedding day, and we could not have been more thrilled to do so. Their ceremony took place in the town hall in Tivoli. Photo session at Villa d’Este. The rolling green gardens and the fountains throughout it created such a romantic atmosphere for the wedding. This villa has fresco painted ceilings and a Renaissance architecture, and the photos of the newly weds were truly magical. A wonderful wedding video the couple arranged captured all of this. How great!
Gugu looked stunning in her gown, with a lace v-neck line and a bow that tied in the back. The bride had her hair gently swept back into a low ponytail and had a thin sparkling headband to pull her look together. Her bouquet consistence of white and pink roses in a circle, and in the center was an absolutely gorgeous flower from her native land in South Africa. The flower was such a meaningful and special way to tie her heritage into her wedding day. Her groom looked very handsome in his navy blue tuxedo and dark red tie as a great accent. He was smiling as he watched his wife walked down the isle and continued to do so all day.
We were so happy to plan this wedding for Gugu and Teboho. Coming all the way from South Africa, there was a lot of paper work and planning to do to be sure the wedding could be held here in Rome, but our team was able to do all of it and create the wedding of their dreams. Couples like Gugu and Teboho are a perfect example of how we strive to make every couple’s wedding a day they will cherish for the rest of their lives, no matter what country they are from!
Jennie and Joe a penguin affair in Rome!
Jennie and Joe were an absolute delight to help plan a wedding for! The couple from Liverpool loves Rome, and chose a wonderful and historic location for the ceremony a church that was built in the 10th century, located right next to the Roman Forum. Its interior is decorated with beautiful marble and mosaics, and the altar where the two exchanged vows was adorned with white roses…it was quite beautiful! A cello played during this lovely intimate ceremony.
What made this wedding so special was how unique and personalized it was. Jennie had an origami bouquet made with maps of Rome and the couple’s theme color was purple. Her bridesmaid wore a purple dress, and Joe had purple tie and flowers on his suit as well! The fun part was the penguins! The couple absolutely loves them, so much so that Joe proposed to Jennie at the zoo in Liverpool in front of the penguins! They are known to be like penguins among their friends because they are always together. They had a small stuffed animal penguin on the pillow with their rings, and a chair during the ceremony for their favorite stuffed animal penguin that always travels with them. How cute!
Joe looked handsome in his suit converse shoes as he took the subway to the church, while Jennie walked in her stunning white dress. She was staying in a cute small boutique hotel close to the Colosseum and the church. Her parents took the "riscio'” bike, and there are even pictures to capture the moment! After the ceremony, the couple had photos taken inside of the Roman Forum, which was the center of public life in ancient Rome. The ruins, including the Arch of Septimius Severus, created beautiful backgrounds for the photographs. Overall, this was a wonderful wedding with a great couple! Congratulations, Joe and Jennie!
Mike and Laura's elopement from the US to Rome with love!
Our fun and adventurous couple from America, Mike and Laura, spent their special day in Rome! The couple eloped from the US to have an intimate and symbolic wedding. The two tied the knot on a roof top terrace overlooking none other but the Roman Forum! A violinist played romantic melodies throughout the ceremony, and the couple enjoyed the breathtaking views. What a perfect location to celebrate one of the most special moments of their lives!
Laura looked exquisite in her lace wedding dress, and one can tell just how happy and in love they are by their radiant smiles and the look in their eyes. Mike and Laura had an absolutely beautiful day for the ceremony, and afterwords spent times visiting sites exploring the city. Wonderful pictures of the couple were captured at the gorgeous Villa Borghese, on top of the Spanish Steps, and in front of the Colosseum...who could ask for better wedding photos!
After Mike and Laura's Roman adventure, they were off on a cruise. We wish the happy couple the best, and are so glad to have been a part of their wedding day!
SCOTTISH WEDDING AT ARICCIA'S TOWN HALL!
Another wonderful wedding is celebrated in Rome with our Scottish couple, Jeannie and Gordon! The two chose Ariccia’s town hall as the venue for their civil ceremony. It was an intimate celebration, they were joined by Jeannie’s son and a couple of friends… which made it all the more romantic!
The town hall really was a wonderful venue to tie the knot. Located just south of Rome, the town hall in Ariccia is the perfect location for a wedding. The interior of the hall is absolutely stunning—from the marble floors, to the detailed columns, to the scenic alfresco paintings on the walls. The combination of the sun shining through the large windows and the light blue walls with pictures of birds and flowers really made it feel as though they were outside! This Bernini, baroque palace truly was a magical spot!
Jeannie wore a beautiful long green dress, which looked quite nice with her bouquet of white and pink flowers. Gordon as well as the other men wore typical Scottish kilts. After the ceremony, the couple had a toast and their first dance just outside the town hall on its beautiful courtyard. The view was exquisite! What a lovely celebration of love! Congratulations Jeannie and Gordon!
TEXAS TWOSOME TIES THE KNOT!
Our American couple, Brandi and Wilson, had such a wonderful wedding full of friends, family, and fun! 25 guests from Dallas traveled to the eternal city to take part in this momentous celebration.
The couple chose a beautiful venue, Sala Rossa, to tie the knot! Brandi looked absolutely stunning in her white, silk dress, as she carried a bouquet of gorgeous white peonies… just as she had imagined! The couple’s son was the ring bearer and did a great job presenting the rings on a pillow, how special to have him apart of the ceremony! Melodies from the violinist floated in the air during the civil ceremony at Sala Rossa, which made it all the more romantic!
The reception after the ceremony was perfect. From the beautiful long table with hand written place cards, to the pretty flowers, every detail was accounted for. Not to mention the view of Rome at sunset from the restaurant’s rooftop—what a magical evening! Guests enjoyed drinks and fun at the roof top bar as Brandi and Wilson snuck away for their own photo shoot.
Although the wedding celebration is over, the couple has many memories and pictures that will last a lifetime. Wilson, with such a fun sense of humor, and Brandi with her beautiful smile, made the taking photos so great! Scenic photos of the couple in front of the Colosseum, walking down the cobblestone streets of Rome, and some shots at nightfall, will be cherished forever! Auguri!!
Love in Trastevere! Alison and Dominic's wedding
Rome was a particularly special wedding destination for our British couple, Alison and Dominic! Alison, originally from South Africa, moved to the UK at the age of 14. Life eventually led her to study Broadcast Journalism in Leeds, where she met the love of her life, Dominic! The couple met in 2009 while they were both in University, and have been together ever since. They now reside in Leeds, where Dominic was born and raised.
Back in 2010 Alison spent a week in Rome with her family and fell in love with the city, particularly Trastevere. Towards the end of her stay, her family came across Santa Maria Basilica, a beautiful Church in the heart of Trastevere, with a gorgeous interior and so much character and history. They went inside for a Sunday Mass, and ever since she wanted to get married in that very Church. When Dominic proposed to Alison on Christmas Eve, she immediately knew where the wedding would be…Rome! What a dream come true!
The wedding ceremony in Santa Maria was absolutely beautiful, just as Alison had imagined. She looked amazing in her dress holding her bouquet of white flowers, and of course Dominic looked handsome in his suit and bow tie! The reception was a short walk from the ceremony and was located at a beautiful and intimate outdoor venue. The couple chose a rustic, Mediterranean theme which included white and cream colored tablecloths, simple white flower and rose pedals, and branches on Rosemary attached to each of the guests’ menus…how cute! The kids looked like they had the most fun with candy, crayons, and markers at their very own table labeled, “No Adults Allowed!”
Not only was there a delicious dinner and delightful reception, but a great DJ and dancing to end the night! The photographs from their wedding show a glimpse of the wonderful and memorable moments of the day. We were so happy to help make Alison’s dream wedding come true!
Veronika and Yann our couple from France and Slovakia
Another wonderful wedding in Rome! Over 20 guests from Slovakia, France, and Italy traveled to Rome to celebrate Veronika and Yann’s big day! The couple chose Sala Rossa as their romantic venue for their civil ceremony to tie to knot.
Veronika looked absolutely stunning in her white lace dress, and her bouquet of pink and white peonies complimented it so well! Even her shoes were so pretty and perfect. Of course, Yann looked quite handsome as well!
Happiness radiated from Veronika and Yann throughout the day. After the ceremony the couple exited the town hall and walked through a shower of rice…they couldn't stop smiling! Breathtaking photos were taken at Gianicolo, the Roman Forum, and on a balcony capturing the skyline of Rome. How picturesque!
The couple held the reception at a lovely exclusive venue, and the decorations were wonderful! The yellow tulips and pretty favors on the tables were picture-perfect. This was definitely a night to remember!
Gokce and Kerim's wedding at their dream historic Palace in Rome...
What a start to 2015! Gokce and Kerim, a Turkish couple from Dubai, kicked off this year’s wedding season in Rome! Over 80 guests from all over the world traveled to this magical city to take part in the couple’s celebration of love. The only guest missing for the festivities was Gokce’s beloved dog! The couple visited Rome prior to the wedding to view venues, and despite the rainy weather during their trip, the two were still able to pick the perfect spot. Gokce and Kerim decided a historic palace that is nothing short of elegant and romantic!
The décor inside the Palace included white drapery, lovely flowers, and crystal chandeliers, all of which made the entire scene quite picturesque. Mellifluous melodies coming from a cello floated in the air as the couple exchanged vows under an exquisite flower arch. As for the bride, Gokce’s eye make-up was absolutely stunning, and it was so nice to have her sister there to assist her! Her bouquet of peonies complimented her dress as well as the wedding theme so well. The couple did a wonderful job choosing the decorations and flower arrangements for this wedding!
After the ceremony guests enjoyed an open bar as well as a delicious spread of food, garnished perfectly. Not to mention that there was a triple layer cake adorned with white roses! It was so pretty that you almost didn’t want to eat it! There was also a 7 element band which was fantastic and made for a lot of great dancing, including the couples romantic first dance.
The couple’s gold wedding theme matched the room very well, and the white flowers with silver candelabras as centerpieces accented the room flawlessly. You could tell that every detail was accounted for as the couple perfectly planned the décor! Guests loved the small limoncellos given as favors at the end of the night…a great Italian treat!
Although the festivities are over, all of the memories, including the breathtaking photos of family the family on the roof top terrace, will be treasured forever! Gokce and Kerim’s wedding was the perfect start to the year! Auguri!
Claire and Matt's romantic December wedding...
Claire and Matt, a couple from San Francisco, chose Rome as the location for their destination wedding in December. Although the planning was a bit last minute, the wedding was absolutely seamless and not to mention, beautiful!
Lights lining the streets illuminated the skies of Rome during this festive Christmas season, which made a wonderful backdrop for photos! Claire and Matt selected a lovely historic palace right in the center of Rome by the Spanish Steps, as the venue for their intimate ceremony with family and friends.
A Christmas tree adorned with lights welcomed the couple at the entrance to the Palazzo. It was very picturesque! The couple had a symbolic wedding, led by an officinal from California, who was a friend of the bride. Matt was very handsome and Claire’s bouquet of red roses and white flowers complimented her stunning dress and smile so well.
The Christmas colors were the perfect touch! From the melodies of the violins, to the delightful cocktails and fun after the ceremony, this wedding is one to be remembered!
Nicole and Pietro's "Romantic Chic" Wedding...
Nicole and Pietro were an absolute delight to work with while planning this wedding! They are such a nice couple and made this day so much fun! Pietro, an Italian charmer and native of Rome, met the love of his life, Nicole, when he was in her home city of Boston! Pietro is super friendly can talk to anyone and Nicole is very sweet… a perfect duo! It was so special to be apart of this unforgettable wedding!
Nicole and Pietro decided on a location in the Aventino area, which is one of the nicest in Rome! This historic area is a must-see, as it is quaint, elegant, and has absolutely beautiful orange gardens and views! The location for the ceremony was at a scenic, charming old church with a lovely Italian terraced garden. The church was adorned with pastel colors and a mosaic floor, which was just so pretty!
Pietro looked very handsome and his mother and sister helped him get ready for the big day. Nicole was really relaxed as she got her hair and make-up done, and she looked gorgeous! The bridesmaids’ light pink dresses matched the flowers perfectly…Nicole has such wonderful taste!
The wedding march at the church ceremony began on the notes of the lovely Pachelbel's Canon in C performed by a string trio followed by an Ave Maria sung by a soprano. It was a breathtaking service that was then followed by some more fun!
The venue for the festivities after the ceremony was right next to the church, which was quite convenient. The guests were in awe and many “wows” ensued as they entered the picturesque garden and marveled at the view. The white linens, off pink tablecloths, and flowers were simply perfect for Nicole’s romantic ‘chic’ theme. The guest’s enjoyed the Candelabra centerpieces with pink, white, and silver colors and the Crystal vases on their tables. The tables were also beautifully accented with gold frames as table numbers.
Each and every detail for this night was just excellent. The food was exceptional and a jazz trio performed during cocktails…what could be more fun than some dancing and drinks!? There were plenty of delicious desserts after dinner, and Pietro’s mother even made little limoncello as favors for the guests! From the gorgeous flowers to the exquisite candles, and the many smiles all around, this was quite a night to remember!
LINDSAY AND MARK OUR IRISH COUPLE!
Mark and Lindsay traveled all the way from Ireland to celebrate their wedding in the Eternal City. In preparation for this perfect day, the two came to Rome a couple of times to view various locations.
Mark and Lindsay found an absolutely stunning 5 star luxury hotel located in Piazza della Repubblica, with a terrace that overlooked the city…it was a venue fit for a fairytale! The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful Church full of murals and ornate architecture. Outside was a nice courtyard in a central Rome pedestrian square. The priest marrying the couple was funny, which made the day even more enjoyable!
Mark and Lindsay spent a lot of time making their Mass booklets and hand picking the readings, giving the ceremony a personal touch! The church music consisted of a string duo and soprano, who sung a moving rendition of Ave Maria. The bridal party was quite lovely--the three bridesmaids wore aqua blue dresses with silver beaded embroidering, while Lindsay looked radiant in her white, floral-patterned laced dress with a sheer white veil trailing behind. Each girl held a bouquet of white roses made by Lindsay’s mother, which complimented the shabby chic theme of the wedding very well!
The celebrations after the wedding made for a night to remember! Mark and Lindsay’s guests enjoyed a jazz trio with a female singer followed by an entertaining DJ after dinner. What could be better than an open bar with lots of drinks and fun! From the seating to the tablecloths to the drapery, there were white decorations all around which looked beautiful next to the rose bouquets! It was evident how much thoughtful planning when into the cute details, including the lights, decorative hearts, guest book, candles, and petals. Each table had an exquisite centerpiece with candelabras and pastel flowers, which gave a romantic ambiance to the tented terrace.
The rooftop of the 5 star hotel in the heart of Rome had a crystal clear pool and a wonderful view that they will surely never forget! There were more than 80 guests there to help Mark and Lindsay celebrate the big day; her daughter and his son were there too, which made it even more special! All of the photos throughout the ceremony and party exude happiness and love. The festivities did not end with the wedding, as they also had a dinner the day after at a typical winery. Lindsay and Mark, as well as all of those who came to Rome to celebrate, created lasting memories!
A SCOTTISH FLAIR IN TIVOLI!
Louise and Grant traveled from Scotland to celebrate a memorable wedding at the beautiful Tivoli’s town hall, just outside of Rome. It was a wonderful location to tie the knot, and her parents were there to share in the ceremony!
Louise wore an exquisite white lace dress, which was complimented nicely by her elegant hair up do and red lips! Grant looked great in his traditional kilt, belt, and sporran, which was quite the hit among the local Italians in Tivoli! His father was in the Scottish attire as well! Grant’s boutonniere matched Louise’s gorgeous bouquet of red roses…a great accent for the lovely bride!
After the civil wedding ceremony at the Tivoli's town hall, a photo shoot of the couple photos took place at the scenic Villa d'Este. You could feel the love in the air as shots were taken of the couple on the balcony overlooking the beautiful town as well as walking through the gardens. This will be a day that the Scottish couple will surely never forget!
AN OUTDOOR RUSSIAN WEDDING IN ROME!
Nadin and Dmitry picked the perfect summer day for their wedding in Rome! The couple from Russian was joined by 30 of their closest family and friends to help celebrate their big day.
The bride and groom chose a gorgeous five star hotel in Rome with a scenic terraced garden as the venue for the ceremony. Guests enjoyed the sunny summer day outdoors as the couple exchanged vows.
The officiant was excellent and the melodies of a violin gave a romantic feel to the ceremony. As for the decorations, Nadin and Dmitry stood under a beautiful flower arch full of roses and draped white canopy, which was quite fitting for the symbolic wedding taking place in the hotel’s garden.
The bridesmaids’ hair was also adorned and with pretty garland, and her friends surprised her with a wonderful bouquet full of pink and white roses!
The bridesmaids resembled a Botticelli painting as they were all quite beautiful with their garland made of roses. After the ceremony and enjoying a few drinks at the hotel, the wedding party spent time at the Colosseum for pictures. Breathtaking photos of the couple, bridesmaids, and the entire bridal party were captured at this iconic Roman landmark!
The party then went back to the venue for dinner, cake, and shared in the special memory of the couple’s first dance to “Pensami mucho.” After dinner they walked to another hotel with roof top terrace to have a few more drinks with a yet another breathtaking scene. What a joyous and memorable day for Nadin and Dmitry’s Rome wedding!
MEGHAN AND CHRISTOPHER'S INTIMATE WEDDING
Meghan and Christopher’s intimate wedding took place in the ancient Italian town, Tivoli, just a short 30-minute drive outside of Rome. The Canadian couple eloped to this picturesque destination to celebrate a civil ceremony in the beautiful town hall.
Both Meghan and Christopher were nervous for the big day and each took a separate car from Rome to Tivoli. Meghan looked stunning in her white dress, her hair curled and adorned with a feathered hairpiece. Chris’s eyes smiled as he looked at her. You can only imagine how lovely and romantic it was for the couple to exchange their own vows as violin music floated in the air!
After the ceremony, the newly weds spent some time in Villa d’Este in Tivoli. The scenic palace, gardens, and fountains were the ideal backdrop to their very first wedding photos. The couple radiated with happiness and love during the photo shoot, it was surely a day they will never forget!
To end this dream wedding, the couple drove back to Rome in time to catch the sunset and take photos in front of the Colosseum. Rays of light shone through the arches and onto the couple as they smiled and kissed. A perfect ending to a wonderful wedding!
AN IRISH WEDDING IN ROME...
Our Irish couple, celebrated their May wedding in the iconic city of Rome. Roughly 25 guests gathered in the historic 12th century basilica, which featured a beautiful staircase in front (a wonderful backdrop for wedding photos). Prior to going to the church, D. and T. rented a Limo and drove around Rome sightseeing and enjoying the beautiful city!
The interior of the church was decorated with an abundance of beautifully detailed frescos and a wooden coffered ceiling. The interior columns were adorned with antique crystal chandeliers… very romantic!
I really loved the dresses and bouquets they chose for their wedding. T.’s wedding gown was simply perfect! The lace detailing, rhinestone accented belt, and slim fit flattered her perfectly. Not to mention her delicate teardrop earrings…too pretty! Bridesmaids wore long, plum-colored dresses and they all carried lovely white rose bouquets. I also loved the backs of the bridesmaids’ dresses; lace fabric framed a cutout on their upper backs.
Before entering the reception, guests enjoyed cocktails at a rooftop bar while D. and T. snuck away to take wedding photos. The newlyweds chose to take pictures in front of the Colosseum and Villa Borghese, both of which proved to be beautiful backdrops! The reception took place on a hotel rooftop overlooking many historic monuments. There was one long table decorated with red rose bouquets and large glass candleholders. On each place setting, there were small boxes containing Italian Jordan almonds decorated with colorful ribbons and bows. In addition, each guest was given a small Vespa to commemorate the special day…how cute! An Italian trio played throughout the reception, and there was inevitably an abundance of speeches, tears and laughter. We wish these newlyweds nothing but the best!
LISA AND MIKE’S WEDDING: COULDN’T GET MORE HISTORY THAN THIS!
After months of planning, Lisa and Mike finally traveled east from Canada to say their I-dos and to celebrate the wedding of their dreams in the beautiful city of Rome.
Their early July wedding was nothing short of beautiful, filled with bold colors and an abundance of friends and family.
The bride and groom chose to hold the ceremony, and other wedding festivities, at a classic, seventeenth century hotel that complimented their baroque-themed wedding beautifully. The hotel was filled with exposed brick and provided an unbelievable view of the city. All guests in attendance stayed at the hotel and got to enjoy the historic venue.
The ceremony was held in a lovely outdoor garden of the hotel and guests anxiously awaited the arrival of the bride. Lisa wore a fitted, satin gown paired with delicate jewelry and carried a bouquet of blooming roses in hues of white and ivory. As Lisa’s mother and father escorted her to the altar, the Italian trio played the always-lovely Ave Maria and guests were undeniably entranced.
The altar, which displayed orange and pink flowers, was outlined by larger bouquets in hues of green, which perfectly framed the couple during the ceremony. Lisa and Mike celebrated their I-dos with a quick “woohoo!” before sharing their first kiss as husband and wife. Afterwards, they joined their guests on the terrace for the highly anticipated reception and dinner.
The reception, which took place on a terrace of the hotel, was overlooking the city and was decorated in great detail. The table was set with flowers, ranging from roses, orchids, lisyanthus, to hydrangeas of all shapes and sizes, consisting of vibrant pinks and purples with subtle hints of green, yellow, and orange, and bold place cards with black frames. The centerpieces of the table were exquisite crystal chandelier candleholders, with teardrop crystal accents.
The reception was filled with lots of laughter and a seemingly endless yet wonderful amount of speeches, and guests enjoyed eating dinner and taking advantage of the beautiful weather. As nighttime began to approach, the centerpiece candles were lit, creating a romantic ambiance, and all guests sung the National Canadian Anthem in honor of Canada’s Independence Day, which happened to be the same day, and sparklers lit the air!
Following dinner, guests moved into an indoor room with a beautiful courtyard and fountain. Lisa and Mike cut the cake, which was decorated with pink and orange flowers and dainty candles, and made a champagne toast. To end the night, everyone enjoyed the DJ, dancing, and, of course, cocktails! Lastly, I absolutely LOVE Lisa and Mike’s pictures! Some were taken with the police force Carabinieri, and others were taken at the fountain at the Gianicolo, the Colosseum and other historic sites around Rome. Congrats Lisa and Mike!
WEDDING AT THE SWEDISH CHURCH OF ROME!
Per and Britta’s outdoor Swedish wedding was filled with endless amounts of smiles and laughter. The weather was simply perfect for an outdoor ceremony and you could practically feel the love in the air as guests began to arrive.
The ceremony took place at a Swedish church in the city.
Britta, who wore a satin ivory-colored wedding gown, floated down the isle carrying a beautiful bouquet of lilac roses where she was greeted by Per and her father. One of my favorite aspects about this wedding was that Britta’s father did the ceremony and had the honor of watching his daughter become the wife to his now son-in-law.
Following the ceremony, the couple went to a local restaurant for a rooftop dinner where they all shared drinks and memories and, most importantly, celebrated the couple’s new beginning.
Guests were able to marvel at the breathtaking view of the city before saying their final goodbyes and bidding the couple adieu.
One unique facet of this wedding was the couple's choice to take their pictures at the always awe-inspiring Villa Borghese. This prodigious setting offered an incredible, nature-filled backdrop for the pictures Per and Britta will reference for many years to come.
We were humbly honored to witness these two begin their happily ever after and wish them everlasting happiness!
Taiwan and Canada, Claire and Sean, a wonderful couple!
Claire and Sean met in 2010 in the first few days of an MBA program in France.
It was during the official start of the program, in a workshop, that Sean and Clair met.
I gathered that Sean was pretty much determined to pursue Claire but that Claire had quite a dislike when they first met…! Sean invited her to join a party and with a little persistence magic begun.
Once the program was over Claire left to return to Hong Kong. Claire flew back to Paris at the end of 2011 to spend Christmas and New Year with Sean. After spending so much time together they thought they should give it a try to be together. Ever since they have been flying back and forth from Europe and Asia to see each other. It’s challenging to have a long distance relationship for two years. In the fall of 2013 they decided to get married. And the story continues… and only gets better.
Sean and Claire wed at the Sala Rossa – Campidoglio – our beautiful, Michelangelo-designed Rome town hall. Violin, flowers, elegant groomsmen, beautiful bridesmaids accentuated the warmth of their global circle of friends and family, hailing from the far reaches: Brazil, Hong Kong, Canada, China the USA and Italy too, what a worldly congregation…
Just a short stroll from the legendary Spanish Steps and a step of picturesque Villa Borghese a magnificent 5 star hotel hosted them. Famed for its exquisite Michelin-star rooftop restaurant this 1880’s era hotel offers spectacular views of the majestic St. Peter’s Dome and the unique Roman cityscape beyond.
Beautiful pink and white flowers, candles and flower petals adorned the party scene. The couple gave guests pretty favors/bomboniere, symbolizing love and good luck. Lovely traditional Italian music played and lots of fun with games, dances and speeches followed.
Congratulations to Sean and Claire!
WOW WHAT A WEDDING HOLLYWOOD IN ROME!
We were thrilled to receive Christine and Jonathon’s request. We really wanted to work with a public figure like Christine Avanti.
Their impressive, “hands-on” backgrounds impelled Christine and Jonathon to contribute greatly to the planning.
Lots of details needed to be arranged and finalized… 1,000+ emails for the wedding, our record!!
Not just an ordinary wedding for Christine and Jonathon; instead a week-long affair: entertainment for 120+ guests, Rome tours, food tours, “meet and greet” and rehearsal dinner…
The food tours were especially appealing: appetizers served at a typical Rome restaurant then main course at a different locale…and so on. A really original way to see Rome and to taste its unique, delicious delicacies!
Let’s “Meet and Greet,” of course only at the most historic cafe’ in Rome in the posthumous company of great artists like Byron, Gogol, Keats who drank there. A lovely room was rented to welcome friends and family.
A modern hotel with pool and garden served as venue for the rehearsal dinner just steps from Saint Peter’s and the Janiculum Hill. Excellent food cooked by a star chef, with music and wine. What else could you ask for!
Before dinner guests enjoyed the fortune of a lifetime … a “Secret Vatican Museum tour.” Exclusive private viewings of parts of the Vatican closed to the public. What a treat.
Christine and Jonathon went all out to please guests so that they enjoyed the best wedding or week…of their life!
Interns arranged for welcome bags delivered to guests’ hotel. This lovely tote with Christine and Jonathon’s initials included caps and bottled water with initials and other travelling goodies like toothpaste, Advil, etc. Surely guests appreciated this special “Thank You.” Christine strongly desired that guests felt very welcomed after such a long trip; she took extra-care in writing a welcome letter detailing all wedding details of the week.
I must admit, working on this wedding changed my prospective on weddings! It was fun telling my Italian friends what this “crazy” couple had thought of…a SCAVENGER HUNT in ROME!!! When I first heard this idea I thought that they must be joking but in fact they weren’t! Often I wasn’t sure whether they were joking or not while telling me their ideas, especially Jonathon’s! Usually they were not!!! Therefore, scavenger hunt it was…120+ guests on vans travelling around Rome doing the craziest things: from tasting food from strangers plates, to dancing a waltz in Piazza Navona to holding a speech in public. I had thought that guests may not participate but in fact…everybody joined. Listening to their stories and looking at the pictures was hilarious!! Crazy Americans! They took off their shoes put on the flip-flops Christine brought, and off they went! What a great experience!!
When, you may wonder, was this scavenger hunt…well, it ran after the wedding march! Yes, they planned a wedding march from the church to Piazza Venezia…taking over Rome! Of course Jonathon and Christine rented a carriage while all the guests walked and cheered them along the way!
They planned a classic ceremony. Christine arrived “slightly” late but as I told her bridesmaid, “knowing Christine it couldn’t have been any different!” Lots of tears and emotion, string quartet, soprano (a surprise Jonathon arranged for Christine), lighting of the unity candles, doves (another surprise Jonathon arranged!) and amazing flowers. Big vases adorned with white hydrangeas orchids, candles absolutely stunning.
Speaking of surprises, Jonathon involved me in arranging fun surprises for Christine. Not easy to do…Frequently when I heard that either Jonathon or Christine thought of an idea I worried! Helicopters, singers, doves, carriages. white horses, lots of romantic ideas but it’s not easy to keep a secret from Christine! Anyway, we succeeded with the soprano and the doves!
I will never forget being with Christine on the morning of the wedding. She acted so happy and nervous too, lots of tears, screaming, hugging and appreciation for her best friends and family present.
Following the ceremony and wedding march, guests took off for their scavenger hunt while Christine and Jonathon completed their photo shoot in Rome, riding alternatively in a black Maserati and a gorgeous antique red Fiat 500. Can’t tell you how beautiful the photos came out. So many random people took photos of the couple that cameras literally surrounded us …Hollywood in Rome!!
While we cruised Rome the rest of the Weddings in Rome team laid red ribbon on 100 chairs, arranging seating, seating chart, place cards, favors, candles, petals and more…The venue looked AMAZING!
Christine named all tables after famous Italian artists. Christine named their table Botticelli, famous for passion and love. We arranged costumed gold antique frames to use as a seating chart adorned with keys hung with place cards attached with ribbon, so beautiful…
A historic villa with a beautiful view of Rome, perfect gardens and splendid interior under perfect weather. The guests ate in the outside patio, listened to music, superb speeches and a maxi-screen with a projection of pre-wedding videos and pictures of Christine and Jonathon’s childhood. To end the evening DJ, incredible fireworks – an Italian specialty (the most amazing fireworks I ever saw) and delicious cake.
The following day a brunch was arranged to say good bye to all of their friends and family.
WOW what a wedding…! Thank you Christine and Jonathon.
A first time for Weddings in Rome a couple from Costa Rica!
It was certainly a pleasure arranging Jose and Tatiana’s wedding in Tivoli.
Jose and Tatiana lodged at a lovely historic hotel in Tivoli. Following Tatiana’s hair and make-up session, off we went for a 3-minute walk through historic Tivoli to the town Hall where the wedding took place.
The Officiant’s warm words and the sound of violin’s music created a romantically moving ceremony. Following the ceremony, we celebrated by tossing rice in the “piazza” adjacent to the town hall. Even the local children participated; what fun!
The lovely town of Tivoli offers piazzas, narrow cobblestone streets, pedestrian areas; a cute town, with warm and hospitable inhabitants. So many people cheered the couple as they walked through the town center. There were families sitting in the piazzas while the children played football/soccer, just the way it always has been!!
Also located in Tivoli, are beautiful Unesco’s sites such as: Villa d’Este, Villa Gregoriana and Villa Adriana. Jose and Tatiana chose Villa d’Este for their wedding photos; an excellent choice!!
Villa d’Este, has an Italian garden that is a masterpiece. It has an impressive number of fountains, nymphs, grottoes, plays of water, and music. In fact, it is a much-copied model for European gardens in the Mannerist and Baroque styles. It is especially stunning in Spring as it there is an abundance of gorgeous flowers, the mesmerizing fragrance of Wisteria, the sound of fountains and birds accompanied by phenomenal sunsets; it is absolutely breathtaking.!
We here at Weddings in Rome wish Tatiana and Jose all the best and enjoyment from their especially memorable wedding in Italy!
Kim and Martin: Their symbolic wedding at this historic Palace
This lovely symbolic wedding complimented a fulfilling year.
When Kim called, I knew that she wanted to do something different for her symbolic wedding in Rome. Her desire: a historic, panoramic palace in the heart of Rome. Of course, we found it!
Unique and exclusive this wedding venue stands in the center of Rome; the Aurelian column staring it down. Celebrating your wedding here means soaking up history. The palace, former home to high priests, cardinals, and men of arms served as the seat of the French Embassy under Napoleon. The Marquis possessed it in the late nineteenth century.
Beautiful ballrooms, all different in style, offer absolute prestige for your reception or symbolic wedding ceremony.
After the wedding sweet Kim and friendly Martin met with immediate family to snap photos at their favorite spots: the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, the Spanish Steps and Pincio, a very special vantage point offering clear views of the beautiful domes of Rome.
The photographer performed excellently, especially considering the chilly wind that blew that November day…the photos are absolutely beautiful showing a loving family. I was amazed at how well everybody got along. I couldn’t believe the families had just met!
I will remember Kim and Martin as an elegant and sweet couple from the U.S.A. to whom I had the pleasure to acquaint. Congratulations!
MARCOS AND EVELINA AN EASY-GOING COUPLE FROM SWEDEN ELOPED IN ROME!
Marcos contacted us to arrange a symbolic wedding this spring. Marcos with his sweet wife Evelina, lovely daughter and closest family travelled to Rome to celebrate their wedding.
They selected a beautiful roof top terrace with view of the Roman Forums. It was a typical spring sunny day. Our Swedish officiator accompanied by our guitarist brought tears in everybody’s eyes. Marcos and Evelina asked our guitarist to play “Con te partiro’” by Andrea Boccelli. It was so romantic… a toast followed the ceremony and then off we went to take pictures in Rome.
Evelina styled her hair herself, she looked beautiful. I wish I could style my own hair like that!
Marcos and Evelina chose a restaurant on the Appian Way for their reception. They wanted something different outside the beaten path and what a good choice it was! The old Appian Way was once one of the world's most important roads and the most famous of all the roads that radiated from Rome towards the far ends of the Roman Empire. Old cypresses, views of the ancient aqueducts and roman ruins adorn the street.
The restaurant located on the Appia Antica in Rome had lovely outdoor and indoor space. The refined menu included a rich antipasto buffet followed by two main dishes, a second course, fruit salad, little tarts and wine.
Marcos and Evelina thanked their guests with typical bomboniere/favors – boxed almond confetti decorated with pretty ribbons that matched the table setting. A nice final touch!
Congratulations to Marcos and Evelina!
Real Wedding: Patrik and Mino from Sweden “three is their magic number!”
I love their story: Patrik and Mino, a Swedish couple, went for years to the same elementary school, without noticing each other. It was probably the wrong time.
Three years ago Mino saw Patrick from her car. She was waiting for her brother who was late when she saw a handsome man in the distance walking with a small child at his side, perhaps his son…She recognized him from the school days and for a moment was sorry he was married with a son and that she hadn’t got to known him better in school.
A week later, at a dinner between friends in which they talked about dating, there was a friend of Patrik who recognized Patrik through Mino’s words.
Obviously he told Patrik of this girl who had been hit by him. Patrik then asked her friend to organize a dinner with Mino and another friend in common.
Their love is based on three fatal meetings and what a coincidence!
Sweet Patrik and Mino chose a lovely roof top restaurant with view of the Forums. It was a beautiful spring day in Rome. The weather was just perfect!
Our photographer met the bride and groom and their hotel while they were getting ready. Following we went to the hotel and our Swedish celebrant performed a moving ceremony. Mino was in tears…A toast and quite time enjoying the sunset and view followed. Then off we went to take pictures to the main sites in Rome. People cheered along the way lots of clapping at Trevi Fountain, romance and a little “Vespa time” at the Spanish steps and lastly majestic Colosseum.
Mino and Patrik enjoyed a romantic dinner at a beautiful roof top restaurant with view. What a day! We are now waiting for three lovely children!!
When Andrew’s sister-in-law contacted us to arrange a surprise for Andrew and Sarah we were thrilled! We love arranging surprises!
Andrew and Sarah are a lovely couple from England who came to Rome to celebrate their 25th anniversary. Little did Sarah know that not only will she visit beautiful Rome but that a romantic surprise ceremony was arranged for her too.
Andrew and his sister-in-law selected a small castle a few minutes from downtown Rome. The Castle sits amidst verdant plains and sinuous hills. The tower, the garden and the chapel, are just some of the things that made this castle romantic and enchanting.
Sarah’s comment made my day… when she told me this vow renewal ceremony was better than her wedding!
So young and beautiful with four grown-up children. Wow…congratulations!
Real Wedding. Jasmine and Chris: Rustic Romantic Flair in Rome!
Jasmine and Chris a lovely couple: he from England she from the US.
Jasmine and Chris’s story is a very romantic one. On a previous Rome visit, Chris proposed to Jasmine on the steps of San Pietro in Montorio church. This church is where they subsequently celebrated their wedding…Following Chris’s proposal, which was accepted, the couple dined at a charming and typical Italian restaurant in lively Trastevere! They loved the restaurant and decided to have their wedding reception there. The restaurant is located in the heart of Trastevere where there’s an enchanted courtyard. In this courtyard, Raffaello (Raphael) used to flirt and portray Margherita Luti, the lovely “Fornarina” for whom he had fallen. Romolo Casali opened his restaurant in that very same courtyard. Margherita Luti, the famous ‘Fornarina’, the mistress of Raphael, lived there.
San Pietro in Montorio church is located in one of the most beautiful areas of Rome on the slopes of the hill of Gianicolo. It looks out over a beautiful view of Rome and stands on the site where, according to tradition, the Apostle Peter was crucified upside down on the exact spot where the beautiful temple was built. Bramante designed the church and, as a result, it is quite unique.
Wedding guests included family and friends who travelled from San Diego, London and Milan were welcomed at a winery in Trastevere. Wine, cheese, cold-cuts and music were served up. Lively Trastevere, the neighborhood where the restaurant is located offers typical cobble stoned alleys old-time shops beautiful churches, little piazzas (squares) and lots of charm. What could be nicer than a restaurant with courtyard covered with century old ivy. The restaurant was decorated with fairy-lights, candles, flowers and rose petals. Included were lovely welcome bags for the guests and touching speeches while the guests mingled and got to know each other. Typical classic-traditional music was played by our trio composed of guitars and a mandolin. It was a great atmosphere!
Following lots of delicious food, wine and music it was time for Jasmine and Chris’s first dance. Of course it was very romantic…then our DJ signaled that everyone could join in and dance also.
It was a real pleasure to see everyone enjoying themselves as they celebrated the union of Jasmine and Chris! All in all, the entire event was a memorable success!!
Real Wedding: Francesca and Sheldon tied the knot at a fairy tale Castle in Rome…
I still remember Francesca and Sheldon’s request: they asked us for a simple wedding in an historic medieval church. Francesca stated in her request “desperate for help!” I was thrilled to be able to help a couple who seemed to be in trouble and “stuck”!
Finding the right church and reception venue was exciting. They wanted a place with history but one that was not too grand. They wanted for a peaceful relaxed location not too formal and close to the church. Well, we in fact did find it!
A lovely small castle, just outside Rome, with a chapel and gorgeous views. I still remember when I took Francesca and Sheldon to view the location: Sheldon words were: “Sarah thank you so much…this place is incredible”. I was almost in tears…I am as happy as the couple are when their dream comes true!
Francesca and Sheldon, two classy teachers. This lovely couple, one from England and the other from Canada with their sweet daughter, celebrated their wedding and reception here! Sheldon’s father performed the Protestant blessing at the outdoor chapel accompanied by beautiful music played by a guitar, mandolin and bass trio. Classic and traditional Italian music was played all day long. Francesca’s daughter enjoyed it very much!
Family and friends hailed from Brazil, Canada and England to celebrate with Francesca and Sheldon. It was a typical sunny Roman day with a lovely breeze.
Francesca picked an orange-purple color scheme. Sheldon’s coral tie, matched Francesca’s bouquet composed of purple and white freesias (A favorite of Francesca’s mother) and coral tulips. Purple Delphiniums with coral Gerbera, adorned the chapel, it was just beautiful. At the end of the ceremony lots of rose petals were showered on the newlyweds to congratulate them.
What a pleasure it was to plan and share these special moments with Francesca and Sheldon!
Real Wedding: Bert and Gunela---Swedish romanticism experienced in Rome!
Bert and Gunela, a lovely Swedish couple, decided to get married in Rome. They knew exactly what they wanted and they wanted it fast! I remember receiving their request on a Friday morning and they wanted a reply that same day! Well…they got it!
I may not be perfect, but if there is one good quality I have it’s that I am quick…when I have a project I follow through immediately! I felt bad for the friends that I had invited for dinner that night because we ended up with pizza; but work is work!!
Bert and Gunela got their ceremony on a terrace overlooking the Coliseum, with a Swedish priest and in company of their two children Simon and Marcus. It was actually Simon and Marcus’s idea that Bert and Gunela get married, and why not in Rome! It was a moving ceremony. Bert and Gunela together with their children were all in tears…
Their special day consisted of violin, a waiting carriage, spumante champagne, photos taken in the center of Rome, dinner on a lovely roof top terrace restaurant on a beautiful day. Can one ask for a more romantic wedding!
It was such a pleasure working with Bert and Gunela and witnessing their joy on their wedding day. We are grateful to have met them and for all their complimentary feedback. Thank-you for choosing us and we wish you many happy years together.
Real wedding: Surprise surprise! Ronald charmed Sherry in Rome!
Ronald, a charming American from Florida really worked hard to arrange this fantastic surprise anniversary for his wife Sherry.
Ronald and Sherry together with their family planned a cruise on the Mediterranean for their 25th anniversary, but little did Sherry know that Ronald was planning a grand surprise ceremony while in Rome.
He wanted a venue that “spoke Rome” and we found this exclusive location, which was just perfect for the occasion. A terrace with view of a boutique hotel just steps from the Coliseum.
Ronald kept his secret until the last moment. When I brought Sherry a replica of their wedding bouquet she realized that the day was to be special and was in tears!
Off we went to the venue where our officiant and staff together with a mandolin and guitar duo were waiting for the couple and their family. Delightful music was played.
Ronald had his ceremony according to his desires: his family took part in it with readings and romantic mementos delighted the ceremony.
Spumante wine and canapés followed and then they were off to take some photos. The crowds cheered the couple all along singing and saying Viva gli sposi! (Hurray to the bride and groom!)
I was really happy to be part of this surprise ceremony and to help Ronald. I saw true love in their eyes…What a pleasure to have been chosen to assist in such a touching celebration!!
Rebecca and Geoffrey romanticism in Tivoli – Villa d’Este
Rebecca and Geoffrey an “Ameuropean” couple. She from Northern Europe, British origins living in the US, Jeffrey Canadian.
Rebecca and Jeffrey weren’t sure between a civil wedding in Rome or Tivoli. They wanted something typical, romantic representing Rome in it’s rustic typical way: ivy, views and an intimate wedding.
The opted for a Civil wedding in Tivoli’s town Hall. Tivoli is an elegant little town in the Rome outskirts perfect for couples who are after a wedding in Rome but prefer a more intimate wedding hall. .
Tivoli is the site of some of Italy's most famous gardens, the Tivoli Gardens and Villa d’Este which contain over 500 of the most famous fountains of Rome. Tivoli offers a long history together with ancient Temples and Villas to visit.
Tivoli wedding hall is elegant & finely decorated, located in a 16th century convent, now used by the local town hall for weddings. The Red Wedding Hall in Tivoli is the finest, with ancient frescos and 16th century's details still perfectly preserved.
Following their wedding Rebecca and Geoffrey together with family and friends arranged an “aperitivo” drink with snacks at a typical pedestrian square. Very relaxing…
Then they went to fabulous Villa d’Este to take gorgeous pictures at a beautiful setting such as Villa diets. Not to be missed.
Rebecca and Geoffrey concluded their wedding at a lovely restaurant right next to the Gregorian Temple. Lovely private room, views, typical patio with ivy and flowers. It was a success!
Real Wedding: Natalia and Sergey celebrated their dream wedding in Rome.
A sweet young Russian couple had a legal Italian ceremony at Rome’s beautiful Town Hall called Campidoglio. The town hall is a commanding sight right in the center of Rome and steps from the Roman Forums. The Campidoglio has a rich and elegant atmosphere with a formal interior, draped in red velvet. I was not surprised by their choice of this location as it where my husband and I were married. Natalia and Sergey’s ceremony was quite moving as a gifted violinist played. In attendance was their family who came to celebrate this memorable occasion.
Natalie and Sergey shared their love story with me…they met at university while they were working on a project together. I can’t imagine they got much work done!
They had their photos taken at beautiful places all over Rome. No doubt, their photo record will be a memorable treasure for them.
The color theme Natalie picked was Tiffany Blue. We were able to extend the color theme to the favors and even the confetti. She picked gorgeous peach color shoes that our florist matched with just the perfect rose! The wedding couple and their family enjoyed a delicious and romantic, roof top dinner with amazing views of Rome.
Best wishes to Natalie and Sergey for a beautiful life together. They certainly had a beautiful and romantic start here in Rome and we enjoyed being chosen to be a part of making it happen.
A Real Wedding: Anthony and Zena elope to Rome!
Anthony and Zena figured out a solution to the economic crises of a big wedding reception and dealing with planning and paperwork . . . they eloped to Rome instead and had everything completed when they arrived!
They had a civil ceremony by a lake in their home-town in South Carolina and then packed their bags and eloped to Rome for their symbolic wedding.
We, as a wedding planning agency, offer everything involved in the planning of an elopement at a better price than a legally binding wedding since we do not have to provide for the legal paperwork.
Zena and Anthony had the wedding of their dreams in romantic Rome.
They chose a fantastic venue with a large terrace and a 360 degree view of Rome right by the Pantheon. The weather was perfect a gorgeous spring sunny day.
Our officiant said lovely words after having talked to Anthony and Zena and arranged a ceremony just like they wanted with a special congratulations: VIVA GLI SPOSI!! (Hurrah for the bride and groom!)
Zena had a beautiful bouquet with white calla lilies and roses which matched a delicious cake made just for the bride and groom. BUONISSIMO! (Delicious!)
Following a glass of prosecco champagne, off we went to the main sites of Rome to take gorgeous pictures of Anthony and Zena with the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain and Spanish Steps in the background. Anthony and Zena were cheered by welcoming Romans while taking pictures… VIVA GLI SPOSI!
Their story was that Anthony charmed Zena from the first moment he saw her at his office. Zena couldn’t resist his charm and now, here they are in Rome celebrating their romantic wedding.
Do as Anthony and Zena did, just elope to Rome and we will plan everything for you!! Just relax and enjoy your special occasion, VIVA GLI SPOSI!

My own wedding day is a wonderful memory. I married in Rome on a beautiful Mediterranean summer day surrounded by numerous Italian and international guests. It was during my younger, less experienced, pre-wedding planner days… I engaged in extensive research in order to accommodate everybody’s needs and make sure I was going to have the wedding of my dreams. Fortunately, it was a beautiful success! Interestingly, who knew that this would have become my passion and profession…but I should have known since it was so much fun even though I literally went “crazy” checking every detail. Maybe it’s a calling…
I hope you will enjoy our blog! Keep following us! Ciao a presto!
